About Feng Shui
Feng shui (pronounced fung-shway) is the ancient Chinese practice of arranging living and working spaces to be in harmony with the environment. Translated, feng shui means “wind and water.” Through placement and intention, the vital chi (pronounced chee and meaning energy) that surrounds us – and is within us – can be enhanced.
There are different types of Feng Shui practiced here in the United States and worldwide. The type that I use is referred to as Black Sect Feng Shui. In this type of Feng Shui, we look at your space and arrange our “map” of life areas based on your front door.
In addition to that map, we also take a look at different areas based on how they relate to life issues. For example, we’ll take a look at your kitchen as an area symbolizing money. This is rooted in traditional thinking that if you had enough food to cook for your family, you were indeed wealthy.
Bottom line: your space reflects your life. If that is the case, what is your space revealing about you? Maybe it’s time for a little change.
